Very thankful for the apprentices, students, supporters, customers, partners, kopi kakis and musicians in the last few weeks. Pantheon is stronger than it has ever been before because of all of you. Thank you.
MAKE DRUMS IN YOUR HOME. With our minimalist methods of drum making, you can make the drums of your dreams with just a few basic everyday tools. The main tool you need is your mind. DM me to learn how.
Custom 13×7 aluminium snare in a beautiful “Jupiter” patina finish for an international customer. The finish was done by our good friend @predator_percussion and this is one of our many international collaborations. We source the best from around the world and we share and respect each other’s work often.
To do this snare justice we put on a combination of brass and gold hardware, with a royal purple snare strap for the Canopus Vintage Dry snare wires. It’s a beautiful snare and sounds very articulate, punchy and meaty.
DRUM MAKING SECRETS REVEALED. Learn the craft from the ones who started it all in Singapore: Pantheon Percussion.
I am going to take a small number of students for one-to-one lessons in drum making for a token fee. Learn to craft ANY drum, learn to repair and maintain drums and cymbals, find a new way to express yourself, and even start your own business.
Drum making is an art; a craft that not many people have access to. Now it is readily available.
In my lessons, I will reveal all my contacts, processes, techniques, and give full access to my tools and workshop. You will not need any tools yourself and you won’t need to set up a workshop for yourself. You just need to be willing to learn and to persevere till the end.
Learn to create something unique for yourself: I will help you.
Custom 12-ply 14×7 Bubinga snare with black nickel hardware and brass accents. The yellow gold strap was for extra personality.
Dale and Tabitha of Noivil Studios had been telling me of their interest in trying a Bubinga snare for certain recordings. They wanted projection and power, yet depth and tone. We agreed that we should experiment, and come up with a killer aesthetic while we were at it.
This snare is looking and sounding absolutely delicious. Come try it out.
14×6.5 Myrtle stave snare, the ultimate in phat tone with a ridiculously wide tuning range. This is one of several snares that will be available for jamming at Tonehouse Studios.
Along with an ever increasing range of Pantheon products (cymbals and drums) and premium Sonor drum kits, you need to check out the other gear available here at Tonehouse Studios, available 24 hours, in town, with video and audio recording amenities.
14×6.5 Purpleheart Stave snare with a hand-rubbed high gloss finish. This is the first of our fully-custom Pantheon Elite series drums.
We used the “double-staining” technique to tone the colour of the wood with black and purple to enhance the complexity of the grain. The shell was originally a pink/ brown mix of open-grained staves and it took plenty of back-breaking work to oil, seal, harden, stain, varnish, sand, glaze, polish, and wax. We finished it off with a selection of premium hardware for maximum versatility.
Above all, the SOUND of this snare is simply fantastic: focused, thick tone with plenty of projection and articulation. This snare can play it all.
This drum is part of an exclusive, one-of-a-kind 4-piece SNOM (snare/tom) kit in 12/14/14/20 configuration. Stay tuned for further updates on this SNOM kit.
A few weeks ago I decided to work more from home, so I have spent many hours repurposing the rooms of my house. It’s not complete of course but it’s getting there. This used to be my study, and now it’s where I do my finishes and leave them to dry.
The main reason for this, is of course, quality.
Drum making is an art and the more time you can spend honing a single drum, or finish, the higher quality the final product is likely to be. I can spend time developing and perfecting, reworking and revisiting, producing drums of the most exacting standards and beauty.
These are not drums that you churn out. These are drums that you make regardless of cost and time spent. You make them because your soul demands it.
Introducing the Pantheon Elite series. May they rock your world.
We’ve had concert toms for years now but we haven’t really marketed them for some reason. Maybe I was too busy with the drum kits. We set these up at Gryd Studio a while back to record some samples.
Available in different woods, sizes, plies, depths, shell types, finishes, single or double sided, and price points, I think there is something for every orchestra and band. Talk to us and we can make some magic happen.
