Pantheon Percussion: Pantheon Elite 14×14 SNOM Complete

14×14 Purpleheart Stave Baritone SNOM (Snare/ floor tom) with a hand-rubbed high gloss finish, quite possibly the first in Singapore. This is the first of our fully-custom Pantheon Elite series drums.

We used the “double-staining” technique to tone the colour of the wood with black and purple to enhance the complexity of the grain. The shell was originally a pink/ brown mix of open-grained staves and it took plenty of back-breaking work to oil, seal, harden, stain, varnish, sand, glaze, polish, and wax.

We finished it off with a selection of premium hardware for maximum versatility. We selected the thickest 12.7mm floor tom mounts and legs to handle the weight of this beast; it’s heavier than the bass drum! We hand-cut extra deep and wide snare beds to accommodate Canopus’s 42-strand back beat wires: you need all these to make sure there is maximum buzz at this depth.

Above all, the SOUND of this snare is simply fantastic: focused, thick tone with plenty of projection and articulation. This snare can play it all.
