This is the beginning of our first Purpleheart stave drum kit, fresh from the lumberyard. No that is no stain, the wood is actually purple.

We will be offering several such stave drums over the coming months. These are entire drum kits, snares, and concert toms made from exotic timbers, not just veneers over the usual plywoods.

We will be offering the best tone woods from around the world including Bocote, Jatoba, Padauk, Blackwood, Jarrah, and many others. We will also offer these kits in the staple tone woods like maple, cherry, walnut, mahogany, etc.
