Our snares receive high praise from professional sound engineers all over, including systems engineer Ron Koh. Ron has worked closely with the likes of the Pussycat Dolls, David Foster, Akon, Justin Bieber, Slash, Placebo, Kasabian, Avril Lavigne, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Suede, Paramore, Soda Green, etc.

“When Gary brought the snare in, what caught my eye was the nice (mappa burl) finish on the snare. Upon closer inspection, the snare came fully equipped with DW hardware, not any cheap knock-offs. While it did catch my eye, nothing was more important to me than how it sounded. Having worked with Gary, I knew his nuances as a professional drummer. His first hit on the snare really caught my attention. It had a nice body and a very distinctive and smooth attack. Though the snare does have quite a bit of depth to it, Gary’s ghost notes really does translate very well. A simple shure Beta 58A microphone was able to pick up all of Gary’s musicianship.
