Thanks Syamsul Bahari, Chris Yeo and Russell Morton for providing additional cameras.

We are so proud to have supported the album launch for ‘Oscilla’, the latest album to be birthed from the loins of The Observatory!

We’ve been a great fan of The Observatory or ‘The Obs’ for short for a long time, so we approached drummer Cheryl Ong and offered to provide some sticks and a snare for her use. As you can see from the video their current sound is very energetic and hard edged, so she needed gear that could take the punishment. We provided her with our thickest 2B and 5B sticks, as well as a large 10-ply 14 x 7 maple snare to lend firepower to the aural assault. The end result was an awe-inspiring and thunderous performance by The Obs. Check them out.

Good news!

Next year, we will be releasing several new products that include new drum kit lines as well as new mid-range snares.

To augment this line, we will be offering Evans heads as standard for these new products.

Aquarian heads will still be standard for all our premium snares and custom snares.

Pantheon Percussion: Gary Gideon plays for international star Francis Yip

Gary Gideon in rehearsals for a major show with international star Francis Yip. Gary can never be found without his Pantheon Percussion maple snare and 5B drumsticks…
This 10-ply 14 x 6.5 maple snare has a gorgeous Mappa Burl veneer with a high gloss finish. We also fitted special Chrome-over-brass hoops on this snare. These are proven to have a more musical tone than the usual zinc alloy hoops. Hear them for yourself!

Pantheon Percussion: Vintage styled 8-ply 14 x 5 Maple snare for Teo Jia Rong

So since I was in the mood to change things up, we upgraded EVERYTHING. We refinished the shell, put fresh beavertail lugs on, changed the throw off to DW MAG + 3P butt plate, and threw on new Aquarian heads and Canopus vintage dry wires.

The real kicker is the single flanged hoops with those vintage hoop clips. They produce a crisp, open, musical tone due to their thin 1.6mm thickness.
Jia Rong is going to be using this sweet and musical sounding snare for lighter sessions in smaller venues; his Aluminium snares can overpower a small venue really quickly. The vintage sound and look of this resonant, thin-shelled, 8-ply, 14 x 5 maple snare is PERFECT for those gigs. Enjoy..
