In collaboration with Audio Technica and James Lye, we conducted a drum tuning and studio recording workshop at Lasalle College of the Arts on the 24th of October.
On 7th November I will be conducting another such workshop for SMU students, this time, only drum tuning. Not long after I will be conducting a similar workshop for ITE Central students.
On the 21st of November, I am conducting a snare tuning workshop for anyone who wants to sign up. The location will depend on the number of people who sign up. It is free. Just drop me a message at 97254846 and we can talk from there.
We will have more courses in november and december, all free.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are aware that many of you follow our news feeds eagerly for news on the percussion industry. There is also a number that loathe our posts and treat them akin to spam… yes, we know, we know… sorry guys.
Whatever you may feel, we will not be posting for the next five days because I will be away in Cambodia for 5 days to do some work in a village. God bless everyone and keep drumming…

“Hi everyone. Just wanna share my attempt to play Drum n Bass with my band L.A.B (Listen And Believe) playing at Mosiac Music Fest 2014. Trying out the GoPro hero 3+ drum view. Not quite happy with the audio because its mono but really impressed with the video quality. Whatever you are hearing is straight from GoPro itself. Pantheon Percussion Aluminium 14×5.5 main snare and Aluminium 14×7 side snare only from our best local drum maker. Hope you all like it.”

These Maple plys are 40% thicker than the plys used to make their current VSS ™ Maple Drum Shells. This new line of shells is made using VSS technology and will be offered in 5 and 7 ply configurations with diameters of 10″ through 24″ and 5, 7 and 9 ply for snare diameters.
The use of thicker veneers brings out the full potential of Maple as a tonal wood. A shell with more wood and less glue produces a more organic tone and allows the warmth of the Maple to really come through. The increase in sustain and the low full-bodied fundamental notes are immediately noticed. The thicker plys really bring out the best in these shells; Toms and Snares have rich, focused tones and bass drums are thunderous, explains Justin Owen, Special Accounts Manager and musical shell expert at Keller. The Magnum Series offers another great avenue for drum companies and custom builders to expand their offerings and differentiate themselves from one another.
The 5, 7 and 9 ply configurations result in an extremely well balanced shell that also offers a great platform for finishing. This is a win-win for the drum world! We couldn’t be more pleased with how these shells perform. The Magnum Series also features a Limited Lifetime Warranty!
We are pleased to announce that we have access to such fantastic shells and they will be used as an upgrade option…
